Professional Help
Recently my sister’s basement flooded.
She and her husband called a professional restoration service who was able to assess the damage and remove the water from the floor and the walls.
It wouldn’t have made much sense if they had tried to repair the damage themselves.
Ironically people who are struggling with sin often say things like ‘I’m going to start following God as soon as I get myself together’.
We see in Mark 2:16-17 Jesus came to save those who are lost:
When the scribes who were Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard this, he told them, “It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick. I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Jesus can provide restoration for the damaged parts of your life, but you must first call on Him to be made whole.
Prayer: Lord, I open all of the damaged parts of my life to You. Please come and restore them and make me whole. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Action: Identify the areas in your life that are damaged. Whether it be your marriage, finances, or even self esteem, bring it to God and let Him restore it for His glory.
