In the last year, my daughter has received quite a few LOL dolls as gifts on various occasions.
A couple of weeks ago she came running upstairs asking me about a doll that she couldn’t find.
I responded by asking her: “Why don’t you just play with the other ones that are downstairs?”
She replied: “Yes, but I need to find that one before I can start playing.”
In Luke 15:3-7, Jesus talks about the joy of finding something that was thought to be lost:
Then Jesus told them this parable:
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home.
Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Eternity cannot begin until all of God’s children are called to Him.
Prayer: Lord thank You for finding me when I was lost and rescuing me. You thought I was worth saving and I thank You for Your sacrifice. Let me honor You by showing others the way into Your Kingdom through my example.
Action: Are there people close to you who haven’t fully accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior?
Continue to pray that God would use your witness to bring them into the full knowledge of Jesus Christ.
