Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, ruled as Queen of England from February of 1952 until her death on September 8th, 2022.

Her state funeral was attended by many leaders and dignitaries from around the world.

When interviewed about the funeral one mourner had this to say:

“If you just imagine the most serene thing, that was it so far that I’ve ever seen or experienced in my life. For me, it’s as close to heaven as I’m gonna get.”

Unfortunately, it would seem the mourner never experienced what is described in Psalms 34:8-10:

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

The closer you are to Jesus, the closer heaven will be.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice. Because of Your death and resurrection I don’t have to wait to go to heaven. I can experience heaven on earth each and everyday as I do Your good works as guided by the Holy Spirit.

Action: Heaven isn’t just a place to go, it’s a place of being. What are some areas in your life where you can provide a heavenly experience for those you interact with?

DID YOU KNOW? – BREAK BREAD TRIVIA

Even though thousands of people including foreign leaders and dignitaries were in attendance at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, not everyone around the world mourned her loss.

Many countries who had experienced inequitable treatment during the Queen’s reign expressed their displeasure among various media channels.
