Have you ever noticed the same advertisement following you around as you browse the internet?

The marketing rule of 7’s states that a potential customer must see a message at least 7 times before taking an action.

During the 1930’s the movie industry discovered that a potential moviegoer had to see a movie poster at least 7 times before deciding to see the film.

Today many companies use this rule when marketing their products as a way to entice customers to take action.

In Luke 11:9-12 Jesus repeats (7 times) the importance of being persistent in our requests to God:

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

If God hasn’t answered your prayer, keep asking until He does.

Prayer

Lord help us to remain steadfast in our requests to You.

We know even though we may not have received the answer to our prayer, we know that You will deliver what we need, when we need it, without fail.

Action

We all have unanswered prayers.

This week make a list of your unanswered prayers and continue to ask God for a resolution to each one.
