‘Characters Welcome’ was the catchphrase used by USA Network to highlight its feature programs from 2005-2016.

In an interview, executive Alexandria Shapiro explained the ‘Characters Welcome’ slogan was reflective of the ‘weirdly optimistic’ nature of its target demographic at the time.

After 2016 USA transitioned to a different slogan based on their target demographic’s less positive outlook on the world around them.

In Lamentations 3:21-26, the author expresses his eternal hope in the Lord:

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;  great is your faithfulness.

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.


Your hope is not based on your circumstance.

Prayer

Lord, I praise Your Mighty Name.

I am thankful that my hope and faith in You is not limited to a season or set of circumstances.


Instead I have the promise of an eternity with You in Your Kingdom.
