Remember the old life alert commercials? If we’re honest we’ve all chuckled during the advertisement when the old lady cried she had fallen and she can’t get up.
And while that might have been a comical reenactment of a serious situation, we all have fallen in a way that leaves us in need of assistance.
One of things I often do is rely on my own strength until the situation turns where I can no longer control the outcome.
The truth is I could never control the outcome.
Without being fully submitted to God and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us we are as helpless as the old woman in the life alert commercial.
What areas of your life have you tried to control on your own?
