Amazon Alexa, more famously known as Alexa, is a virtual assistant that, through artificial intelligence, can respond to many voice commands.
Alexa responds to a number of voice commands which include but are not limited to: playing music, providing weather and sports updates, as well as playing audiobooks.
My daughter and I often use Alexa to play music and sometimes, because of incorrect phrasing or pronunciation, Alexa doesn’t play the song as requested.
In Romans 8:26-27 we see that we don’t have to have the perfect wording for God to hear our prayers:
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
The Holy Spirit aligns your prayers with God’s will.
Prayer: Lord thank You! Even when I don’t know what to say or how to pray Your Spirit that You’ve so generously given to us translates our prayers to requests that are holy and pleasing in Your sight.
Actions: Praying doesn’t have to be audible. Sit quietly, but expectantly, this week for 5 to 10 minutes and let the Holy Spirit within you have a conversation with your Father in Heaven.
