Mission Impossible is a multimedia franchise based on a fictional secret espionage agency known as the Impossible Missions Force.
Originally created in 1966, the franchise has spanned over 7 decades through various television series, video games and movie sequels.
In what has become a hallmark of the franchise, every mission briefing ends with a variation of the following quote: ‘As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.’
In Matthew 10:28-33 Jesus provides assurance that He will never deny those who acknowledge Him:
“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. What is the price of two sparrows, one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
Those that honor Jesus will never be disavowed.
Prayer: Lord thank You for doing the impossible and saving my life from eternal damnation. It is my honor to walk the earth as Your witness. Give me the strength to always acknowledge You in the most difficult times.
Action: Nothing is impossible for God. What have you been believing for that hasn’t come to pass? Spend time honoring Your Heavenly Father this week. Watch Him move on your behalf.
