The COVID-19 pandemic has produced many, varied opinions on the efficacy of vaccines.
According to the dictionary a vaccine is defined as:
A substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases.
Put more simply, vaccines were designed to provide the body with instructions in preparation to fight against infections it will likely encounter later.
In John 14:23-27, Jesus explains to the disciples that the Holy Spirit will provide the guidance needed when facing future obstacles.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.
My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.
These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
“All this I have spoken while still with you.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
When you have the Holy Spirit, you are prepared for any challenge.
Prayer: Lord thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. I know that trials will come but through the Holy Spirit I will be able to respond according to Your Will and overcome any obstacle.
Action: If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. What challenges are you facing this week? Pray and listen for the response that The Holy Spirit provides.
