| Last week my wife and I were cleaning out the garage. As we were sorting through things, my wife found a piece of paper that contained the warranty information for a product. The paper stated that only under certain conditions would the warranty be honored. In Romans 10:9-13, the Apostle Paul speaks of a spiritual reality that is only valid under one condition: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Only Jesus can provide the irrevocable guarantee of salvation. Prayer: Jesus, thank You for guaranteeing my salvation. Through Your death and resurrection I have the promise of eternal life. Action: This week take a moment and praise God! There are no guarantees in life but His promises are without fail. |
