| In a baby’s first few months of life they have a very limited understanding of what actually exists. The ability to know that objects continue to exist even though they can no longer be seen or heard, known as object permanence, is not fully understood until around 7 or 8 months of age. The understanding that things that cannot be seen still exist, vastly changes a baby’s view of the world. In Colossians 1:15-21, Paul shares the news that Jesus is the fully represented image of the God we cannot see: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and by him all things hold together. He is also the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile everything to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Through Jesus all things hidden in God have been revealed. |

| Dear God, I am thankful that You sent Your Son Jesus to die for my sins. Through Jesus we are able to see all of the wonderful things You have done and for that we are forever grateful. |

| Have you accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Savior? All you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart. But that’s just the beginning. When you accept Jesus the Holy Spirit dwells within you and allows you to be aligned with God’s will for your life. |
